Davenport City Administrator Craig Malin is among four interviewing Tuesday in Fort Worth for the Texas city's top administrative post.

An editorial in today's Fort Worth Star Telegram noted that Mayor Betsy Price is looking for "Superman or Superwoman." The editorial listed some credentials for Malin and the other finalists, but concluded: "... based on the initial resume summaries of the four finalists and the cities from which they come, Fort Worth residents might justly ask if these are the absolute best candidates available."

Here's the Star Telegram's Feb. 19 editorial.

No worries, it doesn't take much for his ego to surface and he'll be back with his tail between
His legs. Dream on Pee Wee.

I wish him luck, but if we have to replace him, we'll probably spend twice his salary to lure some supposed rock star from Sasquatch, Indiana (pop. 5732), plus a few hundred K for the expert search committee.

The system is broken, and we're going to get hosed no matter what happens.

I too highly recommend him for a job in some other community. Watch, there will be a vote next week to increase his pay.

Can we send letters of recommendations?

Since this is his umpteenth attempt to leave or extort a raise I think we help him find the job he wants!
