I travel I-280 every day to and from work on my way to Muscatine. The safety of the rerouting of traffic on I-280 is horrific to say the least. I have never been through major construction where (1) traffic was separated by plastic sticks placed about

75 feet apart, and (2) the speed limit was decreased to only 55 mph rather than 45 mph or less. Usually concrete walls separate the traffic. You are basically inches away from a head-on crash.

Today, with the unfortunate incidence of texting while driving, unfortunate accidents can happen in the blink of an eye. Before a fatal accident occurs, please install concrete blocks between the lanes and reduce the speed limit. A tricycle could cross the lanes today without being impeded.
