Congratulations to U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, who has “found her voice” in speaking out against the issue of no transgendered persons in the military. The next step is to introduce legislation to assure that transgendered persons may serve in the military using her very own language:
“Americans who are qualified and can meet the standards to serve in the military should be afforded the opportunity.”
I believe this bill would receive bipartisan support and would be a welcome antidote to the failure of Congress to produce a bipartisan health care bill.
