The Rock Island County Waste Management Agency has launched its official Facebook page.

As more residents take advantage of recycling resources in Rock Island County, there is a growing need to reach residents through a variety of information channels, including social media, according to a news release from the county.

The Facebook page can be found at fb.me/RICWMA.

Posts to the Facebook page will include upcoming collection events, recycling tips and reminders, and answers to common questions. Residents can also message the county through the page with recycling questions.

Rock Island County will continue to maintain other channels of communication, including the RICWMA.org website. At a hotline at 309-788-8925, Rock Island County residents may can call from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., or they may leave a message with a messaging service after hours. Residents who call and leave a name and phone number will receive a call.
