Donors like the billionaire Charles and David Koch have clicked their heels and the Republicans are anxious to please; thus, the tax reform bill.

You cannot raise every taxpayer's portion of the 15 percent tax rate to 25 percent and call it a tax cut. You cannot lower corporate taxes without closing loopholes and call it tax reform.

If the Republicans' tax bill passes, the middle-class will be squeezed, the economy will falter, and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, will get his wish to gut Medicare and Social Security.

The Republicans will live happily ever after.
