I am writing to endorse J.J. Condon, Sean Liddell and Mike Prunchak for the Davenport City Council. I have gotten to know many of them through various community involvement efforts and have experienced their ability to collaborate and work with others.
Davenport needs a City Council that’s built not by partisan politics, but the willingness to work in concert for the common goal of a better Davenport, which makes a better Quad-Cities.
In my time on the Bettendorf City Council, I have seen the need to work with various groups to come to a consensus, and I feel that these candidates are capable of meeting that need.
Sean has great leadership experience and will occupy the very important 6th Ward role quickly without needing a long learning curve.
J.J. has all the business acumen needed for the task. Coming from the business world will leave J.J. well-informed on creating growth in the city tax base.
Mike wears his heart on his sleeve for his willingness to vote for what’s right for the city and leaving politics out of it. Coming from the hardworking labor field will only make him excel more as an alderman.
Please vote Nov. 7. Cities working together are important and local elections are always very important.
Editor’s note: Webster is 5th Ward alderman, Bettendorf City Council
