2nd annual Pet Fest

2-4 p.m. Two Rivers United Methodist Church, 1820 5th Ave., Rock Island. This celebration of animals and the humans who love them will feature vendors, bakers, crafters, animal lovers, veterinarians and shelters. There also will be a special Blessing of the Animals led by Pastor Robb McCoy at 3:30 p.m. All animals must be leashed or caged at all times with proper vaccinations and be well-socialized to other animals. For safety, retractable leads are not allowed. Free.

Annual Rainbow of Colors Program

3 p.m. Community of Christ Church, 4221 N. Brady St., Davenport. The Mission Ministry of Higher Heights Missionary Baptist Church will present this program featuring area women speaking on the theme, "Women Embracing the Purpose, Power and Promise of the Rainbow." Each women will be asked to wear white with accessories based on a color found in the rainbow. For more information, call 309-781-1538. Free.

Men of Valor Program

3:30 p.m. Third Missionary Baptist Church, 222 W. 14th St., Davenport. Third Missionary Baptist Church will present this Men of Valor program with the inspired scripture based on Galatians 5:22-23. Free.

Blackhawk ABATE Bears for Buddies Ride

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rock Island County Court House. Blackhawk Chapter ABATE of Illinois will host this ride with sign in beginning at 11 a.m. at the Rock Island County Court House. The ride will end at Illiniwek Park Pavilion where a picnic will be provided for all participants. This ride will benefit the Children's Therapy Center. Admission: donation of any of the following items a new 8-12-inch stuffed animal, batteries, diapers (size 1-5), Pullups (sizes 3 and 4T), baby wipes, big bottles of bubbles and disinfectant wipes.

Corey Kendrick

6-8 p.m. Redstone Room, 129 Main St., Davenport. Part of the Third Sunday Jazz Matinee and Workshop series. This concert is part of a special Celebrate the Gift series running from February to May. This special series will celebrate the July 2016 gift of a 1930s-era Steinway M Piano. These concerts will feature a sampling of some of the finest pianists in the country performing on the restored piano. $15 reserved, $10 general with an additioanl $10 donation requested to help cover the restoration costs.
