Black Hawk College and the University of Illinois-Springfield have entered into an agreement that will allow Black Hawk students to transfer all of their credit hours to the University of Illinois-Springfield and the college's satellite campus in Peoria. The agreement will help students who are transferring in these bachelor's degree programs: Accountancy (Springfield and Peoria); Business Administration (Springfield, Peoria and online); Economics (Springfield); Management Information Systems (Springfield and online).

Black Hawk students will be assigned a Springfield adviser while still attending community college. The adviser will help plan a course of study that is relevant to the student's academic goals.
