Sickle cell disease and its inherited disorders (thalassemia, cc diseases) is a genetic condition of the blood. Sickle Cell disease is catastrophic to patients and families. Patients experience many co-morbidities, including but not limited to; strokes, blindness, heartaches, organ damage and failure and even death.
