"Best show I have seen at Circa '21"
An email we received from a long time subscriber.
"Here is an unprecedented (by me) unsolicited endorsement of a Quad-City entertainment offering. We thoroughly enjoyed "SOUTHERN CROSSROADS" at the Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse which will run until April 14. We attended a preview performance on March 7 and the Gala Opening on March 9. On both nights the cast received a standing ovation at the end of the show. During the show there was unprecedented audience participation with loud booing of Kimberly Furness (who is always voted the most popular actress in the Quad-Cities but here she is cast as the villainess) drowning out her hateful words and loud cheering and applause at other points, reminiscent of a classic melodrama. The cast includes many of the Quad-Cities popular actors: Tom & Rachelle Walljasper, Brad Hauskins, Tristan Layne Tapscott and Kimberly Furness in a production that is both funny and serious. There are 29 familiar songs well done by an extremely talented collection of singers and musicians. This is one great show. All those who enjoy live theater should consider calling 309-786-7733 X 2 and making reservations. I would suggest going as soon as possible because you too may find that you want to see this show more than once (we plan on seeing Southern Crosroads at least one more time on the closing night of April 14). You should also bring a coin to put in the guitar case at the edge of the stage (ignore the frantic attempts of Kimberly Furness trying to dissuade you). I think you will really enjoy this show."
