Catcher Rene Pinto clubbed a three-run home run — his first of the season — in the fifth inning to add to the lead.
Brock Burke allowed just one unearned run in pushing his season record to 4-0.
Randy Cesar had a pair of hits for the River Bandits (16-15) to extend his hitting streak to seven games and Spencer Johnson had two hits and the lone RBI for Quad Cities.
Clinton rained out: The series finale between the Clinton LumberKings and Lansing Lugnuts was rained out Wednesday afternoon. Since this was Lansing's only trip to Clinton this season the game will not be made up.
