Beloit 4, Quad-Cities 3: Eric Marinez singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Snappers a walk-off win over the River Bandits on Saturday night in Beloit.

The Bandits will need a win in the first-half finale today and a Cedar Rapids loss to Clinton to secure a wild-card playoff spot.

Taylor Jones gave the Bandits a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run double to center, scoring Tyler Wolfe and Yordan Alvarez. Beloit answered in the bottom of the inning to tie the game on a wild pitch.

Cedar Rapids 2, Clinton 1: Travis Blankenhorn stole home for the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead the Kernels to a key Midwest League victory Saturday in Cedar Rapids.

The loss ends a six-game winning streak for the LumberKings (31-35) as the Kernels (38-31) continue their push for a first-half playoff spot.

Cedar Rapids starter Tyler Wells struck out eight over a career-best eight innings to earn the win.

Nick Zammarelli had two of Clinton's four hits and scored the lone run in the sixth. After doubling to open the inning, Zammarelli scored on groundball force out by Bryson Brigman to give Clinton a 1-0 lead.

Cedar Rapids answered in the bottom of the sixth Jaylin Davis RBI single.

Three Clinton pitchers combined to allow just five hits in eight innings along with four walks.
