Quad-Cities 18, Wisconsin 11: Daz Cameron hit two home runs and drove in five runs and Spencer Johnson had 4 RBIs as Quad-Cities slugged its way to a two-game series split Sunday at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Every River Bandits starter had at least one hit and scored at least one run. The Bandits pounded out 17 total hits, with Cameron and Randy Cesar each collecting three, and hit four home runs.
With the game tied at 10 heading to the eighth inning, the first three Bandits reached base safely to set up a seven-run inning that was aided by three Wisconsin errors. Stephen Wrenn hit a two-run home run in the inning for the Bandits.
Wisconsin collected 14 total hits but were held to three hits and one run over three solid innings of relief by Edgardo Sandoval. The Quad-Cities right hander struck out four to pick up his first win of the season.
Kane County 4, Clinton 2 (11 innings): The Cougars only collected four hits but struck for two runs in the top of the eighth inning to tie the game and two more in the 11th to improve to 4-0 on the season Sunday at Ashford University Field in Clinton.
Marcus Wilson's two-run home run with two outs in the eighth off Clinton reliever Ronald Dominguez tied the game at 2. It stayed that way until the 11th inning, when Kane County's Jose Herrera and Jason Morozowski collected run-scoring hits off Clinton's Michael Koval, who lost his first decision of the season.
Gareth Morgan drove in a run for Clinton, which is winless in its first four games of the season.
