Clinton 3, Peoria 2: Gareth Morgan tripled with one out in the 10th inning and scored on a fielder's choice by Nick Thurman to give Clinton a win over Peoria on Sunday at Ashford University Field.

LumberKings starter Ljay Newsome scattered four hits and struck out three batters over eight innings in the longest outing of his professional career, exiting after the Chiefs had tied the game at 2 on a sacrifice fly by Brian O'Keefe.

Peoria took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third when Mick Fennell led off with his first professional home run, but Clinton bunched together four hits in the bottom half of the inning to open a 2-1 advantage.

The LumberKings tied the game on a Joe Rizzo single, then moved ahead on a single by Yojhan Quevedo.
