BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Quad-Cities River Bandits were at it again Tuesday night at Community Field.

The River Bandits continued their power surge with another five-homer night in a 12-2 rout of the Bees.

A night after hitting five home runs and collecting 12 extra-base hits in a 15-1 victory, the Bandits nearly equaled the feat Tuesday with five more homers and 11 extra-base hits among 15 total hits. Q-C has now homered 12 times in its last three games.

Quad-Cities (6-6) teed off on Burlington starter Andrew Vinson for nine earned runs on 11 hits, four homers, in three innings Tuesday.

Marcos Almonte and Daz Cameron connected in a five-run second inning, and Randy Cesar and Ronnie Dawson homered in a three-run third as the Bandits built an early 9-2 advantage. Stephen Wrenn then homered in the fourth to continue the onslaught.

Hector Perez (1-1) worked around a pair of solo home runs in 5.2 innings to earn the win. He struck out seven and allowed four hits in 5.2 innings. Carlos Sierra and Lucas Williams pitched 3.1 perfect innings in relief.

The teams close out their three-game series Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
