IOWA CITY – Ally Disterhoft looks a little less like a freshman with each passing game.

The former Iowa City West star led the Iowa women’s basketball team with 17 points and nine rebounds Sunday as the Hawkeyes rolled to a 78-40 victory over Stony Brook at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Despite some early foul trouble, the Hawkeyes (4-0) bolted to a 36-21 halftime lead and were even more dominant in the second half.

Four games into her first college season, Disterhoft is second on the team in both scoring (13.8) and rebounding (8.0) despite coming off the bench in every game.

Theairra Taylor added 14 points for Iowa, which plays its first road game at Colorado on Wednesday.
