Drew Speraw, an administrative assistant with the Iowa men’s basketball program and the son of current Hawkeyes assistant Kirk Speraw, was named Saturday as the video coordinator at Kansas State.

Speraw worked as a graduate manager at Iowa during the 2010-11 season before being promoted to his present post on Fran McCaffery’s staff. He also worked as Iowa’s video coordinator last season on an interim basis when Ryan Bowen left for a position with the Denver Nuggets.

“He’s a quality young man, the son of a coach, and a great addition to our staff,” Kansas State coach Bruce Weber said in announcing the hire.
