STORYLINES

• Iowa had its five-game winning streak halted and fell to 0-3 in the Big Ten with a 75-68 loss to Michigan on Tuesday night. The Hawkeyes trailed by seven or more points for almost the entire game despite getting 28 points from Tyler Cook.

• Iowa’s 0-3 Big Ten start is its worst since beginning 0-3 in 2012-13. All three of the losses that year were to ranked teams. The Hawkeyes started 0-6 in Fran McCaffery’s first season, 2010-11, but four of those losses also were to ranked teams.

• Ohio State is one of only three undefeated teams in Big Ten play, along with No. 1-ranked Michigan State and No. 13 Purdue. In their first season under former Butler coach Chris Holtmann, the Buckeyes have only lost to Gonzaga, Butler, Clemson and North Carolina. However, they have played only one true road game all season, a victory at Wisconsin in early December.
