• Iowa opened the Big Ten season with an 89-67 loss at Purdue and has had three very close games since then. It is coming off a 68-62 victory over Rutgers on Sunday in which Peter Jok collected 18 points and 11 rebounds and reserve forward Dom Uhl had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.

• Purdue bounced back from a loss to Minnesota by handing Wisconsin its first Big Ten defeat, 65-55, on Sunday. Caleb Swanigan had his ninth consecutive double-double in that game with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and was named the Big Ten player of the game for the fourth time this season.

• The Boilermakers are the Big Ten’s highest ranked team in this week's Associated Press poll at No. 17 and were in a four-way tie for first place entering the week. They are near the top of the Big Ten in almost every statistical category and lead the league in 3-point field goal percentage and assists. They made 12 threes and had 27 assists in their earlier win over Iowa.
