Brady Ernst will continue to his basketball career with a program currently leading the Big East.
The 6-foot-10 forward from Clinton, an Iowa State transfer currently playing at Indian Hills Community College, announced on Twitter on Sunday that he had made a verbal commitment to play for Xavier.
"I'd like to announce that I have decided to end by recruitment,'' Ernst wrote. "I wanna thank every school and coach that has taken the time to reach out to me. However, I'm excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and basketball career at Xavier University.''
After redshirting a year ago at Iowa State, Ernst will have three years of eligibility remaining for coach Chris Mack's program which currently has a 13-2 record on the season.
Ernst has helped Indian Hills to a 14-3 start to the season and currently leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 12 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He also leads the Warriors with a 65.4-percent shooting touch from the field.
