Augie men win CCIW track title: The Augustana men's track and field team won its second straight College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin crown Saturday on its home track.

The Vikings won eight events Saturday and 10 overall to compile 250 points and surpass Day 1 leader and second-place finisher North Central (213).

Senior Marckus Simmons was named the meet's Outstanding Field Athlete after winning the hammer throw Friday with a school and conference record toss of 200 feet, 7 inches. Senior Tanner Osing and junior Jeffrey Swanson were double winners Saturday. Osing won the 1,500 in 3:51.94 and the 5,000 in 15:01.81, while Swanson won the 400 in 48.35 seconds and anchored the winning 1,600 relay.

The Augustana women placed fourth with 107.33 points and got wins from senior Kelsey Cunningham in the triple jump and freshman Sofia Wahner in the 100 hurdles.

Wheaton won the women's meet with 205 points.

Vikings in CCIW tennis final: The host and second-seeded Augustana men's tennis team fell 5-0 to top-seeded Wheaton on Saturday in the CCIW final.
