CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The NCAA regional baseball game between Illinois and Notre Dame was postponed Saturday night because of rain.
On Friday in the opening games, Illinois (48-8-1) beat Ohio 10-3 and Notre Dame (37-21) topped Wright State 13-7.
In the other game Saturday, Wright State led Ohio 5-2 after two innings when play was suspended because of rain. The elimination game will resume Sunday.
In the regional played at Springfield, Mo., Iowa’s game with host Missouri State started later than scheduled because of weather delays.
Iowa claimed a 3-1 victory over Oregon on Friday night and Missouri State defeated Canisius 14-1 in a game that was completed Saturday.
