When: Saturday, TBA
Where: Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City
FYI: Elijah Sindelar became the Boilermakers’ full-time starter at quarterback last week after David Blough suffered a dislocated ankle in a win over Illinois. His start against Northwestern on Saturday night was his fifth of the season, and he’s at the controls of an offense that is gaining traction on the ground. Richie Worship, D.J. Knox and Markell Jones lead a Purdue rushing attack that has averaged 229 yards in its last three games, well over the season average of 152.5 yards. Jackson Anthrop, a junior college transfer, leads the Boilermakers with 35 receptions. First-year coach Jeff Brohm’s defense has been led by Ja’Whaun Bentley, who averages 8.2 tackles per game and joins Gelen Robinson in ranking among the Big Ten leaders in tackles for a loss with 8.5. Purdue’s Danny Ezechukwu leads the Big Ten with three fumbles recovered.
