Upon further review, former Davenport North swimmer Michael Brus set an NCAA Division III record in the 200 backstroke Sunday in the Midwest Conference swimming championships.

Brus, a junior at Grinnell College, was thought to be short of the NCAA mark but it has been determined that his clocking of 1 minute, 45.94 seconds is an NCAA record. The previous mark of 1:46.01 was set by Dylan Davis of Johns Hopkins last year.
