Julian Vandervelde is back on the waiver wire.

The former Davenport Central star and ex-Iowa Hawkeye was released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The offensive lineman was released in order to make room for veteran offensive lineman Jake Scott, who the team signed Monday.

Vandervelde, who has bounced between the Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season, was Philadelphia’s fifth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
