Justin Jinnings, an outside linebacker from The Colony, Texas, became the 11th player in the class of 2015 to make a verbal commitment to the Iowa football program.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Jinnings made an unofficial visit to the Iowa campus over the weekend and indicated before even leaving campus that he was likely to commit to the Hawkeyes. On Monday, he made it official.

Jinnings was involved in 65 tackles last season, eight of them for losses, and has run the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds. He had only one other firm offer, from New Mexico State, but also was being recruited by Arkansas, California, Colorado State and several Big 12 schools.

He is the first player from Texas in the Hawkeyes' 2015 recruiting class.
