He didn’t catch a pass in Saturday’s game, but the receiving skills of Iowa tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz did draw some attention at the Senior Bowl last week.

At the annual players’ banquet held in conjunction with the college all-star game in Mobile, Ala., the all-Big Ten selection received the award for being the “most outstanding receiver’’ in practices leading up to the game.

Northern Illinois’ Jimmie Ward was selected as the “most outstanding defensive back’’ during the week.

Iowa linebacker Christian Kirksey and Iowa State punter Kirby Van Der Kamp performed well during the game.

Kirksey finished with the second-highest tackle total in the game, collecting six stops including 1.5 tackles for a loss while Van Der Kamp averaged 46.9 yards on eight punts.
