Tommy Kujawa, the nephew of former Iowa fullback Paul Kujawa, announced Saturday that he will attend Iowa as a preferred walk on.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Kujawa selected the Hawkeyes over a walk-on opportunity at Arkansas and opportunities at Northern Illinois and Illinois State, announcing his decision on Twitter during a Saturday visit to Iowa City.
A native of Greendale, Wisconsin, Kujawa was recruited by Iowa as a tight end. He has endured an injury-filled prep career, missing his junior season with a knee injury and four games as a senior because of a dislocated elbow.
The ninth walk-on to announce intentions to join the Hawkeyes, Kujawa did collect 658 rushing yards on 77 carries and caught 24 passes for 270 yards while playing for a 7-3 team last fall.
His uncle, Paul, lettered at Iowa from 1989-92.
