The Davenport Assumption girls soccer team captured its third consecutive state championship last Saturday.

Today, it had four players garner first team all-state honors in Class 1A by the Iowa Girls Soccer Coaches Association in forwards Rose Ripslinger, Maddie Irmen, midfielder Danielle Moore and keeper Sydney Lunardi.

Ripslinger finished the season with 32 goals and 19 assists, while Irmen had 20 goals for the Knights (19-1). Moore plans to continue her soccer career at Iowa State, and Lunardi allowed just nine goals in 20 matches.

The Knights have compiled a 63-2 record the past three seasons.

Bettendorf senior Katie Moore earned second-team honors in Class 3A. Moore, an Arkansas signee, finished the season with 19 goals and 10 assists for the Mississippi Athletic Conference champion Bulldogs. Teammate Julianne Trizzino, a defender, was honorable mention.
