VanHyfte eclipses 2,000 points: Annawan's Jayde VanHyfte scored 28 points to join her sister and mother as members of the 2,000-point club in a 73-39 win over United Monday night.
VanHyfte accomplished the feat in front of Arizona State head coach Charli Turner Thorne, whom VanHyfte will play for next year after graduating from Annawan.
VanHyfte now has 2,012 points in her career, 482 points away from reaching school's all-time scoring record set by her sister Celina, who is a junior at Southern Illinois University.
VanHyfte's mother, Val, scored 2,660 points at the now-closed Atkinson High School.
Her other sister, Morgan, scored 1,896 points in her high school career and is a sophomore at Illinois State University.
The Bravettes jumped out to a 55-19 halftime lead in the game against United.
