Annawan 66, Serena 28: Jayde VanHyfte collected 30 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocked shots to help Annawan advance to the sweet 16 of the Illinois Class 1A state tournament.

The Bravettes (33-0) also got 12 points from Kendall Gripp and 11 from Keagan Rico. After leading by only a 29-20 score at halftime, they scored the first 12 points of the second half to take command. They will play in the sectional championship game Friday night at Hinckley-Big Rock.

Serena finished its season 18-10.

Bloomington 61, UT 54: United Township fought back to send the game into overtime before finally having its season ended in the opening round of the Class 4A regional at Pekin.

Bella Sims scored 16 points for the Panthers (13-13) and Ryleigh O’Brien added 14, but both players eventually fouled out.

Boys basketball

Galesburg 71, Alleman 38: Galesburg pulled away in the second half to win easily in the makeup of a game postponed by weather from Friday night.

Eric Price led a balanced attack with 14 points as the Silver Streaks (18-8, 4-3 Western Big Six) outscored the Pioneers 41-17 after halftime. The committed only two turnovers to 18 for Alleman.

Will Mihm had 15 points and nine rebounds to lead Alleman (13-12, 1-8 Big Six).

Galesburg plays at home again tonight in another makeup game. against Rock Island.

Durant 67, Louisa-Muscatine 57: Easton Botkins scored 19 points and Bryce Lafrenz added 16 as Durant took control of the game in the fourth quarter and advanced through the first round of the Class 2A district at Tipton.

The Wildcats (13-10) outscored the Falcons 21-10 in the fourth quarter after trailing by one starting the period.

L-M (11-12) got 24 points from Brady Walker.

West Branch 77, Bellevue 58: Cade Daugherty finished his career with a 33-point effort but it wasn’t enough to keep Bellevue (9-14) from having its season come to a close in a Class 2A district opener.

Beau Cornwell led West Branch (13-9) with 29 points and Brady Lukavsky added 21.
