Clinton's football quarterfinal against Cedar Rapids Xavier on Friday night will be in Clinton.
Typically, the home game would go to the team with the fewest home games through the first two postseason games.
Seemingly, that honor would go to Xavier, which hosted Pleasant Valley in the substate game and then played at Linn-Mar on Monday.
However, per Iowa High School Athletic Association rules Xavier and Linn-Mar share the same metro area and thus Monday's game constitued a "home" game for both teams.
Clinton holds the top overall seed in the eastern half of the Class 4A bracket and having the same number of home games as Xavier, the River Kings will host.
