Compiled 1,438 rushing yards, 22 TDs and 9.4 yards per carry. Had Q-C single-game rushing record 407 yards versus North. 

Back, Jared Rus, North Scott, 6-2, 205, sr.

First team all-stater rushed for 1,390 yards and 14 TDs, also caught 10 passes for 196 yards. Was fourth on team with 39 tackles.

Receiver, Gavyn Ashley, Muscatine, 6-0, 170, sr.

After not playing in 2016, all-district receiver had 48 catches for metro-best 782 yards, 5 TDs. Had 90-yard kickoff return for TD.

Receiver, Ben Wilson, Bettendorf, 6-0, 190, sr.

Had 41 grabs for 636 yards and 5 TDs for 10-win Bulldogs. First team all-district performer had 65 catches past two seasons. 

OL, Mitchell Butcher, Moline, 6-2, 260, sr.

Unanimous all-Big Six selection blocked for a seven-win Moline offense that rushed for 2,267 yards and passed for 1,114.

OL, Cole Ernst, North Scott, 6-4, 325, sr.

Two-year starter and all-state left guard created openings for an offense that averaged 37 points per game. Has offer from D-II Winona State.

OL, Anthony Glancey, Alleman, 6-1, 276, jr.

All-Big Six first team selection blocked for Pioneer team that rushed for more than 2,400 yards and reached Illinois playoffs.

OL, Zach James, Pleasant Valley, 6-5, 290, sr.

Two-year starter and second team all-stater paved way for offense that recorded 39.9 points and 284.7 rushing yards per game.

OL, Joe Moffitt, Bettendorf, 6-1, 295, sr.

All-district left guard was a two-year starter and influential for an offense that eclipsed 30 points eight times and averaged 6.7 yards per rush.

PK/P, Justin Wehr, Bettendorf, 5-10, 175, sr.

All-district choice converted 53 of 56 point-after kicks, made 5 of 7 field goals (long of 38) and had metro-best 32 touchbacks.

Utility, Jayce Levy, Assumption, 6-0, 190, sr.

Class 3A District 4 offensive MVP accounted for 2,447 total yards and 29 TDs for state quarterfinalist. Finished career with 5,301 yards, 60 TDs. 

FIRST-TEAM DEFENSE

DL, Sam Hanna, Pleasant Valley, 6-0, 210, sr.

First team all-district selection was second on team with 63.5 tackles (15.5 for loss, 7 sacks) in helping PV to seven-win season.

DL, Jatten Kuhrt, Bettendorf, 6-0, 195, sr.

Moved from safety/outside linebacker to end and was voted District 7 defensive MVP and first team all-stater. Led Bulldogs with 63 tackles (21 for loss).

DL, Tommy Parrish, Moline, 5-9, 180, sr.

All-Big Six first team, 32 solo tackles, assisted on 52, 12 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, a defensive TD. 

DL, Zach Petersen, North Scott, 6-4, 225, sr.

District 6 defensive MVP had 52 tackles and led Class 4A with 10 sacks for nine-win Lancers. Recently picked up an offer from Illinois. 

DE/LB, Diontrel Wommack, Davenport Central, 6-0, 180, jr.

Earned first team all-district accolades. Was second on a playoff team with 56 tackles (16.5 for loss, 7.5 sacks). 

LB, Marcus Atnip, Moline, 6-1, 210, sr.

All-conference choice accumulated more than 100 tackles (24 for loss), 12 sacks, forced five fumbles and collected a pick for Big Six champions. 

LB, David Mathews, Pleasant Valley, 6-0, 205, sr.

Was team's top tackler for second straight year (80.5) and had six sacks to earn all-district accolades. Posted 146 career tackles.

LB, Antonio Santillan, Assumption, 6-0, 205, sr.

All-district selection had team-high 75.5 tackles (7 for loss) and recovered two fumbles in helping Knights to share of district title. 

DB, Sam Mattecheck, Alleman, 6-0, 165, jr.

All-Big Six two-way performer rushed for more than 850 yards, almost always defended team's top receiver, had two picks, 16 pass break-ups.

DB, Eli Suastegui, Moline, 5-9, 175, sr.

Unanimous all-Western Big Six pick, two-year starter, fifth on team in tackles, second in interceptions, also returned kicks. 

DB, Ryan Wohlers, Assumption, 6-2, 200, sr.

Rushed for 1,143 yards and registered nearly 1,500 yards of offense with 17 TDs. Also had 34 tackles and three interceptions.
