Jared Rus had 136 yards rushing and three touchdowns in last week's 36-14 win against Dubuque Senior. West tailback Dot Combs eclipsed 2,000 career rushing yards in last week's 43-7 setback to Western Dubuque. The Falcons are trying to snap a 14-game losing streak.
West Allis Central (4-4) at Rock Island (6-2)
Basics: 7 p.m., Rock Island Public Schools Stadium
Last year: Did not meet
Overview: The Rocks have won three in a row, the last being a 26-14 victory over now 6-2 Galesburg. West Allis snapped a two-game losing streak, beating Wauwatosa East 43-16 last Friday. According to Rock Island coach Bryan Stortz, the Bulldogs are a spread team with a lot of two-back setups with multiple receivers on the field. The team is very athletic at tailback and quarterback and other skilled positions. “They do a good job of trying to keep you off balance by what they do,” Stortz said.
