Mykedra Craig, jr., Rock Island: Was an Illinois Class 3A state qualifier in 100 (12.56) and 800 relay along with running on the Rocks' ninth place 400 relay team at state. Finished second in the 100 and 200 at Big Six meet, with season-best times of 12.39 (100) and 26.45 (200).

Jasmine Harris, sr., Assumption: University of Sioux Falls basketball recruit was fifth at Class 3A state meet in 200 (25.61) and sixth in 100 (12.54) along with running on Knights' fourth place 800 relay. Harris ran on Assumption's Drake Relays 400 relay championship team. 

Carly King, so., Assumption: She was 3A state runner-up in the 100 (12.34 seconds) and 200 (25.25) along with taking third in the 400 (56.55) and anchoring third place sprint medley relay. King accounted for 23.5 points at state in helping Assumption win a fifth consecutive team title. 

Amaria Kirby, jr., Pleasant Valley: Ran season-best 12.42 in the 100 at the Class 4A state-qualifying meet. She ran second leg on PV's third place sprint medley relay at state along with participating on the state-qualifying 400 and 800 relays.

Megan Pittington, so., Moline: Earned her first state medal with a ninth-place finish in the 400 at the Illinois 3A state meet. She also qualified for state in 100 and 200. Pittington was Big Six champion in 100 (12.43), 200 (26.16) and 400 (57.84).

Middle distance

Joy Ripslinger, sr., Assumption: Became the first girl in Iowa history to win the 400 (56.29 seconds), 800 (2:09.39), 1,500 (4:39.00) and 3,000 (9:55.37) at state meet. Arkansas recruit, who also won 800 and 1,500 at Drake Relays, finished career with school-record nine state titles. 

Julia Schumacher, jr., Assumption: Competed and medaled in four events at the 3A state meet -- fourth in 1,500 (4:43.97), seventh in 800 (2:21.14) along with anchoring sixth place distance medley and 3,200 relays. 

Sydney Spranger, sr., Bettendorf: Headed to run at Southern Illinois, Spranger had three top-10 finishes at 4A state meet -- anchored eighth place distance medley relay, ran on ninth place 3,200 relay and was 10th in 800 (2:22.49). 

Alli Wroblewski, sr., Bettendorf: University of South Dakota recruit was sixth in the 4A 400 meters at state (57.75), her third consecutive top-six finish. She also ran at state on Bulldogs' fifth place sprint medley relay, 400 and 1,600 relays. 


Trinity Borland, jr., Bettendorf: Conference champion in the 3,000 and runner-up in the 1,500, Borland was 10th at 4A state meet in 3,000 (season-best 10:38.11) and 18th in 1,500 (4:58.36). She ran 4:57.22 in 1,500 at Assumption Invitational.

Ally Gallagher, sr., Bettendorf: Bothered by a hamstring injury for more than a month of the outdoor season, the Miami University (Ohio) recruit returned late in season to take sixth at 4A state meet in 3,000 (10:35.03). 

Brina Kraft, sr., Muscatine: Bound for Iowa State, Kraft was a top-five finisher at MAC meet in 1,500 and 3,000. She was seventh at 4A state meet in 1,500 (4:48.83) along with running on 3,200 and distance medley relays at state. 


Demetria Johnson, sr., Rock Island: Placed fourth at 3A state meet in the 100 high hurdles, tying a school record in back-to-back days (14.60). She won the Big Six long jump title (18-3) and was a state qualifier.

Cedreahna Kennedy, sr., Rock Island: Finished eighth at 3A state meet in the 100 high hurdles (15.15) and qualified in pole vault (10-3). Also a 300 hurdler (47.44), Kennedy took fourth in both hurdle events at conference. She was third in the pole vault.

Erica Loussaert, sr., North Scott: Placed third at 4A state meet in high jump (5-4) along with being a state qualifier in 100 hurdles and anchoring shuttle hurdle relay. Wartburg College recruit was MAC champ in high jump and 100 hurdles. She ran season-best time 15.17 at Drake Relays. 

Ellie Spelhaug, jr., Pleasant Valley: Earned two 4A state medals -- sixth in 100 hurdles (15.04) and ran a leg on fourth place 1,600 relay. Bradley hoops recruit posted a career-best time of 14.81 in 100 hurdles at state-qualifying meet along with anchoring MAC championship shuttle hurdle relay team.

Addie Swanson, sr., Pleasant Valley: Became third girl from PV to win a 4A state title in 400 hurdles in past five years. In her first year of 400 hurdles, Iowa recruit ran 1:01.76 at state and was runner-up at Drake Relays. She placed third at state in sprint medley relay and was fifth in 400 (57.26). 


Alexandra Axup, sr., Rock Island: She leaped a school-record 10 feet, 7 inches in the pole vault where she was a state qualifier and Big Six runner-up.

Alexis Hayes, jr., North Scott: Second behind teammate Erica Loussaert at conference meet, Hayes won high jump competition at 4A state qualifier and placed fourth at state meet (5-4). 

Sara Hoskins, fr., Pleasant Valley: Medaled at 4A state meet with a seventh-place finish in high jump, a personal-best 5-2. She was second team all-conference and took third at state qualifier. 

Kiah O'Neal, so., Alleman: Earned a second-place medal at 1A state meet in high jump (5-5). The Big Six champion leaped a season-best 5-9 at the sectional meet. She also took fourth at Big Six meet in 400 (1:01.67).

Carli Spelhaug, so., Pleasant Valley: Conference long jump champion was eighth at 4A state meet (16-5). Spelhaug, who jumped a season-best 16-9 at Jesse Day Relays, also ran on PV's state-qualifying shuttle hurdle relay and fourth-place 1,600 relay at state.


Lea Grady, jr., Davenport Central: Was just one of two girls to medal in both shot put and discus at 4A state meet. Grady was fifth in discus (125-7) and seventh in shot (38-1 1/4). She earned first team all-conference accolades in both throwing events.

Kayla Slowick, sr., North Scott: MAC champion placed third at Drake Relays and 4A state meet in discus. University of Dubuque recruit threw 128-2 at state. Her season-best was 130-5 1/2 at DeWitt. Slowick also was a state qualifier in shot put.

Kylie Wymer, sr., Rock Island: Finished 12th place in the shot put (41-3) at 3A state meet. The Western Big Six champion in the shot put, she took fourth in discus at Big Six meet. Her season-best discus toss was 118-8.
