Wethersfield's Charlotte Pillen returns the ball over the net during the second set of Monday's Iowa versus Illinois Senior All-Star match. Pillen is one of two Wethersfield players on the Quad-City Times All-Western Illinois first team.

Jessie Hemm

School/year: Riverdale, senior

Height/position: 5-11, middle hitter

Serving it up: Four-year performer led Rams to a Class 2A regional title. Hemm, a first team all-Three Rivers selection, averaged 3.1 kills (.394 hitting efficiency), 1.6 blocks and 1.3 digs per set. She was selected to play in the Iowa-Illinois Senior All-Star match.

Brooke Huizenga

School/year: Fulton, senior

Height/position: 5-10, outside hitter

Serving it up: Unanimous all-Three Rivers West choice, on last year's all-area team, had 212 kills, a .211 hitting efficiency, 103 assists, 153 digs, 40 aces and 18 blocks.

Sarah Jacobsen

School/year: Orion, sophomore

Height/position: 5-9, outside hitter

Serving it up: Unanimous all-Three Rivers West selection helped guide Chargers to sixth straight regional title and a 32-6 record. She had 376 kills, .309 hitting efficiency, 45 aces and 261 digs. Was voted team MVP.

Brittney Litton (C)

School/year: Wethersfield, junior

Height/position: 5-8, middle hitter

Serving it up: A repeat selection, Litton was the most valuable player of the Lincoln Trail Conference after compiling 414 kills this season, 191 digs, 63 aces and 54 blocks. Led Wethersfield to a 35-1 record and a regional title. Also made all-tournament at Knoxville, Sherrard and Wethersfield.

Lauren Matson

School/year: Orion, senior

Height/position: 5-6, libero

Serving it up: Voted by her teammates as Orion's best defensive player, the all-Three Rivers West first-team selection compiled 385 digs and helped Chargers to a sixth straight regional title and a 32-6 record.

Mary Mitton

School/year: Riverdale, senior

Height/position: 5-9, outside hitter

Serving it up: First team all-Three Rivers, Mitton led Rams to Class 2A regional title. She averaged 3.5 kills with a .208 efficiency, 2.6 digs and 0.4 aces per set. She was selected to play in Iowa-Illinois Senior All-Star game.

Charlotte Pillen

School/year: Wethersfield, senior

Height/position: 5-9, middle hitter

Serving it up: Led Wethersfield to a 35-1 record and a 1A regional title. She was all-Lincoln Trail first team, had 259 kills, 215 digs, 32 blocks and 27 aces. Made all-tournament at Sherrard and Wethersfield.

Mitrese Smith

School/year: Kewanee, senior

Height/position: 5-9, outside

Serving it up: Three-time, first-team all-Three Rivers, Smith recorded 209 kills, 228 digs, 29 blocks and 13 aces. Averaged 4.2 digs and 3.03 kills per game in conference. Made all-tourney at Sherrard and Knoxville.
