Turning point: Evansville netted two goals in 13 seconds late in the second period to re-establish command after the Mallards had closed an early 3-0 deficit to 3-2.

Numbers: Former Mallard Jay Holladay scored the game's first goal. Zac Pearson scored twice and has three goals in the past two games. Q-C also got a goal from Joel Gasper.

The impact: The Mallards fell to 0-3-0 to start the season. Q-C pro hockey teams are 6-15-3 over the past four Octobers.
