The Quad-Cities has been chosen to host the 2013 USA BMX Nationals next July at East Moline BMX Speedway.

The event, scheduled for July 19-21, is part of a 22-race national series and is expected to attract about 1,500 riders and 5,000 spectators.

“This will be the biggest BMX race ever held in the Quad-Cities area, and it is a huge event for East Moline BMX,” said Paul DePauw, director of the speedway. “Our track volunteers are the best you can get and we are planning the biggest BMX weekend this area has ever seen. This race will bring some of the fastest BMX riders from all over the country here to the Quad-Cities.”
