UPDATE: Harrison Street between 14th and 15th streets is now open to two lanes of traffic.

EARLIER REPORT: Drivers heading out this morning who use Locust and Harrison streets in Davenport will encounter some headaches in the way of lane closures and detours.

Harrison is currently closed at Locust Street because of a water main break near 15th Street. Traffic is being sent west at Locust to Marquette, then south on Marquette to 14th, then east on 14th back to Harrison.

Also, beginning at 8 a.m eastbound Locust Street between Brady and Main streets will be reduced to one lane of travel. Eastbound drivers who desire to turn left from Locust onto Brady Street should follow the signed detour route or take alternate routes during the lane restrictions. The left turn lane should be opened on Thursday, and all lanes should be opened by Friday.

Drivers should allow extra time getting through the area, or better yet, avoid it if at all possible.
