Spend fun-filled days with the Quad-City Times Plus 60 Club and Trailways Travel, in Holland, Mich. from May 10-13, enjoying their famous Tulip Festival.

We will leave Day one, aboard a luxury motorcoach , and begin our trip to Holland. Once there, we'll enjoy the Tulip Time-New Odyssey Dinner Show: Three Guys, Thirty Instruments. Our overnight accommodation will be in Grandville, Michigan.

On Day Two, our day will begin with a buffet breakfast at our hotel, before we meet with our step-on guide for a 2 1/2 hour city tour of Holland, including historic areas, city parks, Hope College, a view of the windmill, tulip lanes, downtown Holland, and more! There will be free time for lunch on our own at the Dutch Marktplaats, with the large selection of food, crafts, souvenirs, and lace. Music and Klompen dancers are also available for our enjoyment, along with stage events. When it is time, we will take our reserved bleacher seats for the Volksparade. We'll watch as hundreds of Dutch costumed townspeople, armed with brooms and pails, scrub the parade route clean before the actual parade. Then, more than 7000 children greet us, dressed in Dutch costumes and creative props. The parade features dozens of colorful bands, floats, and exhibition Dutch dance groups "Klomping" along the route in their authentic costumes and real wooden shoes. We'll have time for shopping and exploring downtown after the parade. There will be a church buffet dinner before a live musical theater show before we return to the hotel.

Day Three finds us breakfasting at the hotel again before we depart for another great day. There will be a visit to Holland's only tulip farm, Veldheer-DeKlomp Tulip Farm and Wooden Shoe Factory. It will be like stepping back into the Netherlands of 100 years ago as we visit Nell's Dutch Village. We'll start with a "Banket" making class, a delicious traditional Dutch pastry. Then we'll see Dutch dancing, which will include our own dance lessons. There is wooden shoe carving and Delft pottery making. A Dutch lunch is included with some time to explore on our own. There will be Windmill Island Gardens, Dezwaan, 150,000 tulips, the Little Netherlands Museum, and more. Then it's off to Saugatuck for a sand dune buggy ride along the shores of Lake Michigan. Tonight we'll unwind on a relaxing dinner cruise on the Holland Princess, a 65 foot Victorian style paddle wheel riverboat, and we'll pass the Big Red Lighthouse and other historic landmarks.

Our last day, it's time to check out, after breakfast, and head for home with a lot of Dutch memories of Holland, Michigan, and the Tulip Festival.
