Officer
R.I.A. Federal Credit Union is
pleased to announce the selection of
Shelley Groves as the credit union’s new
Vice President of Mortgage Lending, and
Brad Randolph as the credit union’s new
Chief Technology Officer.

to our team and believe it will help

serve our members to achieve financial Shelley Groves
success,” said Jim Watts, President of
R.I.A. Federal Credit Union. “Between
the two we have added over 44 years of experience in the
financial services arena which will allow us to continue to
bring members resources for a better life.”
Shelley Groves has spent the last 29 years working
for Vibrant Credit Union. She has overseen mortgage,
commercial, and consumer lending throughout her career.
“I’m excited for this new challenge and opportunity that is
in front of me to grow R.I.A. and its members,” said Shelley.
Brad Randolph began his career in
Denver, Colorado as a project manager
for Denver Solutions Group. He then
spent 8 years as the IT Director for
Firstier Bank in Kimball, Nebraska; 4
years as the IT Director for Farmers State
Bank in Alliance, Nebraska; and 3 years
as the VP, Director of IT for Central
Bancshares, Inc. in Muscatine, Iowa.

Relations
With nearly 20 years of experience in
HR and more than seven years at MRA,
Beth offers a leadership style that is both
roll-up-your-sleeves and strategic. She has
proven her abilities in consultative sales,
marketing, and organizing priorities, as
well as process improvement to support
fast growth and member satisfaction. Beth
will lead the Member Relations team
across MRA’s four state region, including Beth Mathison
WI, MN, IL, IA

Governor Kim Reynolds Appoints
Dr. Nikhil Wagle, M.D. to Iowa
Board of Medicine
Dr. Nikhil Wagle, M.D., with Eye
Surgeons Associates, is honored to be
appointed to the Iowa Board of Medicine
by Governor Reynolds beginning May 1,
2019 for a 3 year term, pending Senate
confirmation in April. The board regulates
the practice of medicine, surgery, and
acupuncture. It has significant authority
over licensees, establishing regulations
by proposing legislation or adopting Dr. Nikhil Wagle
administrative rules, enforcing these rules
and laws to protect the public, and also issues cease and
desist notices to persons who practice medicine and/or
acupuncture without a license.
Dr. Wagle will be one of 10 members: five practicing
M.D.s, two practicing D.O.s, and three members of the
public. Five members must be male and five female, with
no more than five members affiliated with the same political
party. Board members are appointed by the governor and
confirmed by the Iowa Senate for a three-year term. Board
members may serve up to nine years.
Dr. Nikhil Wagle is a glaucoma specialist and
comprehensive ophthalmologist at Eye Surgeons Associates.
He received his medical degree from the University of
Wisconsin, completed his internship at Northwestern
University Medical School and residency at the world
renowned Duke University Eye Center where he also
achieved a fellowship in glaucoma. Dr. Wagle is board
certified and a diplomat of the American Board of
Ophthalmology. He is President of the Pleasant Valley
Community School District School Board, and also serves
on the Spring Park Surgery Center Board, and the specialty
council for Genesis Hospital’s ACO.

Lori Helmantoler, CPA, MST

Lori works in the tax department of
Legacy’s Schererville, Indiana office. She
joined the Firm in 2011. She is a member of
the Illinois CPA Society where she serves
on the Taxation Individual Committee. Lori
is the daughter of (the late) Cy and Janet
Fox. She is a graduate of Pleasant Valley
Community High School. She received
her undergraduate degree in accounting
from University of Northern Iowa in 1982 Lori Helmantoler
with high honors and Master of Science in
Taxation, with distinction, in 2010 from DePaul University.
She received her MBA from St. Ambrose University in 1986.
