BITCO Insurance Companies announced that the
board of directors of BITCO Corporation, BITCO
General Insurance Corporation and BITCO National
Insurance Company have elected Steve Duff
Assistant Vice President, Risk Control, and Mark
Wendell Assistant Vice President, Underwriting,
effective August 24, 2019.
Steve joined BITCO in 1995 as a Risk Control
Consultant in Des Moines, IA and was promoted
to Risk Control Field Supervisor in 2006. He later Steve Duff
left the company in 2008 and returned in 2018 as
the Risk Control Department Manager in Home
Office. Steve has over 30 years of experience in
Risk Control and has received his Associate in Loss
Control Management designation.
Mark started his career at BITCO in 1988
in Home Office Premium Audit. He later
transferred to St Louis and later to Des Moines
as a Premium Auditor before returning to
Home Office Underwriting in 1992. Later that Mark Wendell
year he transferred to our Rock Island branch
as an Underwriter. While in the branch, he was promoted to
Underwriter, Sr. In 2007 he transferred to Home Office Underwriting
as a Program Underwriter for the Transportation and the Construction
Materials Programs. He later became a Program Underwriter for the
Oil & Gas Program and was promoted to Oil & Gas Program
Underwriting Supervisor in 2017. Mark is also the Auto Line of Business
