MOLINE — The annual PR Network of the Quad-Cities’ Half-Day Workshop is planned 8 a.m. to noon April 24 at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline.

The workshop begins with a hot breakfast and networking followed by keynote speaker Chris Snider, an associate professor at Drake University, discussing tips and tools to turn smartphones to create compelling videos on social media.

Tiffany Scott, PR Network president, said many of the group’s members are expanding their marketing techniques to incorporate video.

Four breakout sessions also are planned:

  • Jacqueline Holm, assistant general manager for the Quad City River Bandits, will discuss networking and building personal brands.
  • Phil Young, store operator and partner at Fleet Feet Sports, will discuss getting the most out of social media marketing.
  • Dan Bush, co-owner of the Analog Arcade Bar, Armored Gardens and the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel, will discuss building a unique brand identity.
  • Cindy Whiteman, digital marketing manager at Websites to Impress, will discuss search engine optimization.
