Charles "Chad" Holliday Jr., the chairman of Royal Dutch Shell, has been elected to Deere & Co.'s Board of Directors effective Jan. 1, the Moline-based Deere announced Wednesday.
Holliday previously served on Deere's board from 2007 to 2016. Holliday, who has been Royal Dutch Shell's chairman since May 2015, previously served as chairman and CEO of DuPont, chairman of Bank of America, and chairman of the National Academy of Engineering.
"Chad has outstanding experience as a leader of several major organizations and has a keen understanding of audit, compensation, and other areas of oversight on the boards of directors at global corporations," said Deere chairman and CEO Samuel Allen. "We are fortunate that Chad agreed to return to the Deere board."
In other news Wednesday, Deere announced that the board of directors had declared a regular quarterly dividend of 60 cents per share on common stock. It will be payable Feb. 1 to stockholders of record on Dec. 29.
