Uber is the latest app-based company to offer restaurant delivery services in Davenport.
Quad-City residents have had the option to catch a ride with Uber for the past few years. But starting Tuesday, they can use Uber's services without leaving home, and this time, to have food delivered to their front door.
Uber Eats offers food delivery with full menus from several local restaurants. Participating Davenport restaurants include Wise Guys Pizza and More, Baked Beer and Bread Co., Cinnamon-N-Sage Healthy Cafe, Tap 22 Bar and Grill, Element Tea and Wine Lounge, and others, according to the news release.
The Uber Eats app is free to download.
Uber launched its ride-hailing service in the Quad-Cities in 2015, according to spokeswoman Charity Jackson.
The debut of its food delivery app follows similar services, such as GrubHub and Bite Squad, entering the Quad-City market over the past several months.
