Registration still is open for the 7th annual Women in Agriculture Conference on Friday at Jumer’s Casino in Rock Island.

The bi-state conference brings together female landowners, partners, ag business professionals, educators and farm wives. This year's conference will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with Michele Miller, The Farm Babe, presenting "Bridging the Gap between Farmers and Consumers."

Kim Bremmer, a motivational agriculture speaker from Wisconsin, will provide the closing session, "Celebrating Women in Agriculture," at 2:15 p.m. This year’s featured speakers are sponsored by Country Financial.

Walk-ins will pay a $100 registration, which includes a light breakfast and a luncheon buffet.

The conference is sponsored by the Illinois county farm bureaus of Bureau, Carroll, Fulton, Henry, Knox, Lee, Mercer, McDonough, Rock Island, Stark, Stephenson, Warren-Henderson, and Whiteside County Farm Bureaus. Other sponsors are River Valley Cooperative, River Gulf Grain, Compeer Financial, Scott County Farm Bureau, University of Illinois Extension and Iowa State University Extension.
