Playcrafters Barn Theatre, Moline, has scheduled the six shows for its 2016 season:
"Arsenic and Old Lace," the classic stage comedy about two old spinster sisters who murder elderly gentlemen callers with poisoned elderberry wine. Performances are Jan. 8-17.
"Mama Won't Fly," from the prolific writing trio of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, about a woman trying to get her mother from Alabama to California in time for her brother's wedding. Performances are March 11-20.
"A Woman Called Truth," a drama using spirituals and folk songs to celebrate the life of Sojurner Truth, an abolitionist and women's rights advocate. Performances are May 13-22.
"On Golden Pond," the comedy-drama about an elderly couple and their estranged daughter, whose movie version won Oscars for Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn. Performances are July 8-17.
"Deathtrap," a comedy-thriller play-within-a-play about a playwright who may kill one of his students to steal his script. Performances are Sept. 9-18.
"Stocking Stuffers," a series of 15 short, comedic holiday-related scenes including a meeting of the Easter Bunny, Cupid and Uncle Sam to steal attention away from Santa and toward their holidays. Performances are Nov. 11-20.
