A locally made documentary about an area theater production that deals with a soldier's post-traumatic stress disorder will air at 8 p.m. Tuesday on WQPT.
The Quad-City area PBS TV station's cameras followed the creative process in the QC Theatre Workshop production of "A Green River" during the summer of 2013.
The documentary, "The Making of a Green River," is produced by Lora Adams, WQPT's director of marketing and local content. It features interviews with the playwright, actors, director, a soldier and a counselor, all intermingled with performance video.
"We are very excited to highlight the work that brings a new play to the stage,” Adams said in a news release.
WQPT also will hold a screening and panel discussion at 6 p.m. Thursday at the QC Theatre Workshop, 1730 Wilkes Ave., Davenport. Those who attend are invited to view the documentary and ask questions of those involved about the process of dramatizing the return to civilian life of a soldier with PTSD.
