A fundraiser next week will have people on edge.

On Friday, representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters, Special Olympics and the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce will rappel down the Laurel Building in downtown Muscatine to raise money for their causes.

It's part of a two-day event, called Over the Edge. It kicks off at 5 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Iowa Avenue, with live entertainment by Joey Peate, On the Wall band and Matt Hepker. Young Professionals Network and Chamber Ambassadors will also host Business After Hours.

Rappelling will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, a DJ will perform, and food, drinks and raffles will be available. The Kid Zone with bounce houses will be open from 3-5 p.m. Live entertainment will begin at 5 p.m. with AfterShock followed at 9 p.m. by Tim Stop Band.
