The Cerny Brothers will perform on Friday, Jan. 12 at the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel.

The Cerny Brothers, the folk rock duo made up of Robert and Scott Cerny, are back near their hometown. The musical brothers from Sherrard, Illinois, who now live in Nashville, will perform Friday at the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel, 304 E. 3rd St., Davenport. 2. Icestravaganza

It's all about ice at the sixth annual Icestravaganza this weekend at The Freight House in downtown Davenport. The event starts at 11 a.m. Saturday and features interactive ice sculptures, activities for children, visits from an ice princess and more. Plus, an after-party is set for 6 to 8 p.m. at Front Street Brewery. 

3. Be a tourist in your own backyard

Be a Tourist in Your Own Backyard Weekend, an annual excuse to explore the Quad-Cities, is Friday through Monday. For the four-day stretch, the Quad-Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau partners with businesses throughout the area to bring you deals on restaurants, bars, hotels and shops. For more info, visit

4. Bends and Brews

Want to combine your yoga practice with beer drinking? Check out the new Bends and Brews series this weekend. All levels — from newcomers to experienced yogis — are welcome. Yoga starts at noon Sunday at the Front Street Brewery Taproom, 421 West River Drive, Davenport. Bring your own mat. Cost is $10.

5. Vince Neil at Rhythm City Casino 

The voice of the legendary heavy metal bad Motley Crue is in town this weekend. See Vince Neil, the voice behind songs such as “Wild Side," “Shout at the Devil" and “Home Sweet Home,” perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Rhythm City Casino Resort, 7077 Elmore Ave., Davenport. Tickets, $25, $30, $35, $45 and $55, are available at

6. Music trivia night 

Looking to test your musical knowledge? The River Music Experience and the Mississippi Valley Blues Society are teaming up to host a trivia contest starting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Redstone Room, 129 N. Main St., Davenport. Cost is $10 per person. Profits from the event will support both organizations.
